Description
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, tools and equipment necessary to deliver an articulating concrete block (ACB) system such as Armor flex - flex (70 T tapered block) type material to Patoka Lake, Dubois, IN. This system will relieve any hydrostatic pressure in the sub-grade and will provide protection from the erosive forces of surface water runoff on the west end of the spillway. The 70 T type materials were recommended due to the steep elevation/fall and velocity that runs across the 600 foot gutter. The fall/drop across the first 370 foot section is nine (9) feet; the fall across the remaining 200 foot section is 25 feet. The Contractor's work and responsibility shall include all planning, administration, supervision, communications and inspection necessary to assure that all services are conducted in accordance with the contract requirements and all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations. The work will involve delivering and helping with the unloading of approximately 600 feet of armor-flex (70 T tapered block) type material, fabric, and geogrid on site at Patoka Lake's Spillway. The gutter and paved ditch area measures approximately 15 feet across (two, (4) four foot sides with a (7) seven foot wide bottom). Our estimates are that the armor-flex type material measure 19 feet long and be 8 feet wide (two feet on each end will need to be pinned to the ground). The mats will weight approximately 11,400 lbs. There is a road established to the work site and a contractor's excavator will be on site to unload the material and place it in the gutter. For contractual questions, contact Chris Brackett at christopher.t.brackett@usace.army.mil
