- This announcement is to provide notification of the Department of Veterans Affairs intent to enter into a sole source task order with Philips Healthcare, a division of Philips Electronics North America Corporation (PENAC), 22100 Bothell-Everett Highway, Bothell Washington 98902 for a service and maintenance agreement for the Allura Cath Lab System. Philips Healthcare will provide this service to the Western New York VA Medical Center. This agreement will be for a twelve month period. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 811219. This procurement involves licensed, proprietary software, software upgrades and proprietary passwords. Any interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide service and maintenance and software upgrades. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. local time. Information should be sent to David Esmay, Contracting Officer, at Davidm.Esmay@va.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received by the response date the Department of Veterans Affairs will proceed with the intended agreement. All questions concerning this requirement must be in writing and submitted via email to Davidm.Esmay@va.gov.
