Description

Under Statutory Authority § 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), the VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center anticipates entering into sole source procurement negotiations with Midwest Electro-Tech Corp, 102 Enterprise Drive, Hillsboro, WI 54634-4403 for a 5000 gallon double wall fuel tank will all fill, overfill gauge, venting fixtures, ¾ hp pump with key access to fill re-fueler trail; mobile fuel dispensing trailer with 3500# axle with 250 gallon single wall cube tank trailer, ball hitch with running lights, no brakes Fillrite 700 (20 gpm) pump with 1110 plug-in cord with pump piped to provide 'defueling' of pump-out of campus underground storage tanks. Procurement will include installation of 5000 gallon fuel tank. This announcement is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1. The above authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by supplies available from one source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by September 21, 2011. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available.
