Description
Specifications Brandname Justification The U.S. Department of Education has a requirement to renew its software maintenace license agreement for the IBM General Parallel File System (GPFS). GPFS is a file management software for IBM hardware and the AIX operating system. The renewal of this annual software maintenance agreement provides for software updates, bug fixes and other support should the need arise. A fixed price award pursant to the requirements of FAR PART 12 and 13 applies to this award. If qualified quotes are received from small business, an award will be made to a small business. Please see the attached brand name justification. Evaluation Factors For Award: The award will be made to the responsible authorized offer whose offer is technically acceptable, and whose price is comparable to the prices found in the market place. In order to be technically acceptable, an offer must deomonsrate that the item(s) offered can meet requirements described herein this solicitation. Provisions/Clauses: The following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provisions and clauses apply to this solicitation and are incorprated by reference: FAR 52.212-1 Instruction to Offerors-Cmmercial Items; FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representationand Certifications-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions REquired to Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. Other applicable NIACS 51120 and 423430. All offerors must be registered in CCR ( Https://www/bpn.gov/ccr/dfault.aspx ) in order to be considered for award. Questions must be submitted before 2:00pm E.S.T. on 5/20/2011
