- Description
- The Contractor shall be responsible for conducting all repair work required to make the various pump station system components described here and on the supplemental drawings fully functional and able to operate at the same capacity as before. All new equipment and components supplied by the Contractor shall be compatible with the existing systems for the scope of work. A.Remove the existing 560 hp Cummins diesel engine and dispose of it per federal, state and local regulations. B.Remove all connections to the engine and temporarily cover until new connections to the new engine can be made C.Provide and install manufacturer certified rebuilt 559 hp (at 1900 rpm), 12 cylinder, turbocharged, water cooled, battery start diesel engine. If the heat exchanger and pump are not integral to the engine, they must be provided separately. D.Provide new connections to existing exhaust, fuel, cooling water, electrical and control wiring altering any of these utilities as necessary based upon differences in the performance requirements or locations of these utilities to the new engine. E.Provide new drive shaft, pillow blow bearings and connections to the belt drive system making any necessary adjustments to the existing drive system required to restore the original operating characteristics of the existing pump. F.Provide alterations to the existing equipment curb as necessary to properly support the new engine. Please see Solicitation documents for complete Scope of Work.
