- Exclusive distributor letter Lokring quote The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Centers, Long Range Enforcer - Contracts & Procurement Branch 2, Oakland, CA anticipates awarding a sole source procurement to Lokring West Coast Inc. for the procurement of the following Lokring patented parts that are essential to quickly and easily effect repairs to failed pipe systems throughout the CGC Bertholf. These unique fittings/tools will enable ship's force to stock a critical repair kit. Failure to procure material may result with catastrophic casualties while cutter is underway. See attached Lokring Estimate. The existing configuration requires use of specific repair materials, manufactured by Lokring to ensure correct form, fit & safety of vessel systems. Lokring fittings are patented and Lokring, Inc. is the sole proprietor. Only approved distributors are authorized to sell patented Lokring products. This procurement will be made on behalf of the CGC Bertholf. Vendor will provide all the parts listed in the Schedule of Items. NAICS Code #336611 applies to this procurement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No solicitation will be issued, however all responses received on/before 10:00am PST on September 28, 2011 will be reviewed by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
