- Questions and Answers Post Site Visit for Project TUMR112107, Bldg 3 Repairs, Muniz ANGB, Carolina, PR. Question 1) Area II. Four Additional Dormitories 1. Remove and return existing AHU/ACU. Does refrigerant have to be recovered, recycled, returned? 11. Please provide system brand/model or specifications for existing building fire detection system connection to new heat detectors. Answer 1) Area II. Four Additional Dormitories 1. Refrigerant shall be recovered. 11. Heat detectors "Simplex", fire alarm panel "Notifire" Question 2) Area III. Miscellaneous repairs 2. Please provide specifications for new carpet. 3. Please provide existing A/C units capacities for system cleaning estimation. 7. Please provide specifications for new exhaust fan to be installed in female bathroom Answer 2) Area III. Miscellaneous repairs 2. High traffic carpet, glued tiles 2'x2'. 3. Drawings attached under "Additional Documentation" link 7. Concrete wall mounted, 300cfm, 120V, 20A, connected to existing switch. Question 3) What is the capacity of the A/C Units that their ductwork is going to be cleaned? Answer 3) Verify attached drawings Question 4) What is the height of the building? Answer 4) Building height is 27Ft. Question 5) What work is to be done for the photo attached? Answer 5) Work to be done with your submitted picture: NONE. Question 6) The person that went to the visit for me told me that there are A/C Drawings to be submitted to us are these for the duct cleaning. Answer 6) Drawings attached under "Additional Documentation" link Question 7) Please provide us the drawings illustrated in the pre-bid meeting. Answer 7) Drawings attached under "Additional Documentation" link Question 8) Please indicate if it is necessary to provide office and storage area or an you will provide area. Answer 8) Office area not required, Contractor shall bring his own storage container if he need it. Question 9) Please indicate if the light and the water will be provided by you. Answer 9) Government will provide water and power. Question 10) Provide specifications for material and the air unit. Answer 10) Drawings attached under "Additional Documentation" link Question 11) Because there is information still needed to be able to give a better proposal, we are requesting an extension of time for the auction to be Postponed for the day September 30, 2011. Answer 11) The closing date will be extended to 28 Sep 11 @ 12:00pm to allow for a review of drawings and Q & A responses.
