- The Service Area Office East (SAO-East) Veteran's Health Administration intends to solicit and award a firm fixed price contract for replacement parts to fit the existing Bosch GKF701 automatic capsule filling machine, that will allow it to fill smaller size 3 and size 4 capsules. This solicitation is BRAND NAME OR EQUAL to the Bosch tooling and kits listed below. Offers must include a side-by-side comparison of proposed equal product. This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items is prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12.6 Acquisition of Commercial Items as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issue under number VA-240-11-RQ-0105_2 as a Request For Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53, August 4, 2011. This acquisition is set aside 100% for award to a small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334510. with a small business size standard of 500 employees.
