- This pre-solicitation notice is for the purpose of informing industry that this solicitation is scheduled to be posted to FBO o/a 4 Oct 2011 to provide upgrade work on the backflow prevention devices at Dept of Veteran's Affairs VISN 21, VAPAHCS-Palo Alto CA IAW the Statement of Work (which will be available in the solicitation). Contractor shall furnish all necessary management, supervision, labor, tools, equipment, material, supplies and consumables to upgrade the backflow prevention devices to ensure compliance with the Joint Commission and AWE Inspection Codes. Qualifications for this work include business certified AWWA tester certificate, licensed under the State of California to perform inspection and repairs to backflow devices and be Santa Clara County / Marin County certified according to California Administrative Code, Title 17. The anticipated start date is 1 November 2011. The award will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. This acquisition is initially a Total 100% Small Business Set-Aside, with a primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) of 332913 and a related small business size standard of 500 employees. This notice is not a request for proposals and proposals received as a result of this pre-solicitation notice will not be accepted or evaluated.
