- Description
- The Syracuse VA Medical Center is seeking technical and price proposals from CVE SDVOSB firms for VA Project number 528A7-11-718 Renovate 2 South for Computer Training Center/IS Renovations. Scope of Work: BASE BID- Demolition - Phasing of asbestos abatement of floor tile mastic within 6 rooms and their connecting corridors. The removal of three masonry walls, one fire closet, six single doors and frames, one double door and frame, hardpan ceilings and their grid systems, and the removal of acoustical ceiling tile. Construction - Covering corridor wall surfaces with GWB, erecting a new cross corridor wall including a double door and frame and card swipe access, installing new ACT ceilings with heavy duty grid systems, adding/relocating numerous power & communication outlets, circuit breaker panel power distribution investigations/labeling, painting/ patching walls to a Level 4 finish throughout, installing new flooring materials in all areas, and the construction of a Computer Training Center classroom with associated furnishings and audio/visual equipment. Bid Options; #1 - Office furnishings & equipment. #2 - Replacement doors into existing frames with associated hardware. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d) and in accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Health Care and Information Technology Act of 2006, this construction project is a Total Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veterans-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The estimated magnitude of this construction project is: "Between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00." PERFORMANCE: The estimated performance period for completion of construction shall be based on items awarded, but not more than 270 days. The Performance chart will be included in RFP. NAICS CODE & SBA SIZE STANDARD. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 236220, with a Small Business Size Standard of $33.5 Million. Offers from other than service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. PERFORMANCE OF WORK BY PRIME CONTRACTOR. At least FIFTEEN PERCENT (15%) of the cost of the contract performance incurred for personnel must be spent on the concern's employees or the employees of other service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns, excluding supervision. The offeror is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from the Federal Business Opportunities (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) website, which may be issued to this solicitation. The offeror must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and listed as a CERTIFIED VETERAN ENTERPRISE and be VERIFIED in the VetBiz database under the applicable NAICS to be eligible for award. Firms may obtain CCR information at http://www.ccr.gov and VetBiz information at http://vip.vetbiz.gov.
