Description
The following are questions from potential offerors and the Governments response: 1. Is the label size actually 3.75 web x 3.5? Not sure if your sizes below include the liner or not. the liner and gap or is that the actual size of the label? Is there a gap in between them or are they butt cut? Response: The labels are butt cut; the size stated is the size of the liner and the label: 3.75 web x 3.5. The edges of the labels should be rounded. 2. If you have been buying these labels already can you say if they come with a black mark on them for sensing? Response: There is not a black mark on the labels for sensing 3. Also, we can flood coat a direct thermal, but normally we recommend a screen to protect the life of the printhead, however there would be a plate charge for the screen. Again, if you are already buying these do you know if they have a screen to protect the printhead? Response: The requirement did not specifically mention a screen on the labels. Based on the samples we used and tested, there was no mention of a screen. Flood coat was a requirement of the RFQ. If Floodcoat is not compatible with a screen then it is not a part of the requirement. 4. It would be helpful if you can send a picture or actual samples of the labels as well. Response: I do not have a picture of the labels as we were only provided a limited amount of them and we have used them for testing. 5. Can we send some sample for your evaluation? Response: The Government will request samples as needed. Please do not send samples unless requested. 6. What is the actual size of label? Response: 3.75 web x 3.5 7. What is the application of label? Response: The Government uses the labels to identify property in a warehouse setting as well as an outdoor setting 8. Are they for interior or exterior application? Response: They are put on the exterior of packages/property; the packages/property can be stored outside in rain, snow, cold and heat. The labels must be weather resistant. 9. Temperature sensitive? This is regarding the environment which the labels will be used. Response: The packages/property can be stored outside in rain, snow, cold and heat. The labels must be weather resistant. 10. What type of Adhesive on the label? Response: GB720 is the adhesive that should be used 11. Is there a gap between each label or are the labels butt cut? (Answered in last email) Response: The labels are required to be butt cut 12. Are there any timing marks on the liner? Response: There are not timing marks on the liners. 13. Are the labels round corner rectangle or square cut? Response: Corners should be rounded 14. How many rolls are packed in one box? Response: Rolls per box is not a concern. 15. There are 100s of different shades of yellow, what specific PMS number is associate with the yellow you are requesting? (We have used PMS106 for other bar code labels). Response: Pantone 012C 16. The core is.75 inches. Are there any other slits or notches in the core? Response: No, there aren't any other notches in the core, it is solid 17 Would it be possible to mail me a used roll with 2 or 3 labels still attached to the roll? Response: Sample rolls were used in previous testing, none are available.
