- ISSUE DATE: 10 October 2011. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal required for RBM Electrical Shore Tie Upgrades at USCG Sector Long Island Sound, New Haven, CT. The work includes shore tie connections required to upgrade from 60 amps to 100 amps to support new 45 foot RBM PRO vessels. The shore tie connections shall be replaced with new individual 100 amps, mechanically interlocked receptacles to accommodate the recent standardization policy. Because of the higher ratings of the shore ties the National Electrical Code requires the main service be upgraded. This requires new wires and a new panelboard. The estimated cost range of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 10 October 2011. The tentative date set for receipt of quotations is scheduled for 10 November 2011 at 2:00 pm. The applicable NAICS code is 238210 and the size standard is $14.0 million. Estimated performance time is 150 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. This acquisition is issued pursuant to FAR Part 14 and is 100% set-aside for Small Business Concerns.
