- 409th CSB, Regional Contracting Office-Vicenza contemplates entering into five (5) Indefinite Quantity/Indefinite Delivery contracts (IDIQ) for (non-personal services) a USAFRICOM Surface Distribution Network (ASDN) throughout continent of Africa using the Acquisition of Commercial Items procedures of FAR part 12 and 13. The primary service and objective of the ASDN is to transport intra-theater USAFRICOM cargo within the USAFRICOM AOR. The Contractor shall provide all necessary resources including logistics support and management to perform surface transport and distribution of general cargo within all fifty three (53) nations within the USAFRICOM AOR. The Contractor shall obtain all necessary licenses and permits required to operate in the applicable ASDN countries and shall comply with applicable laws, codes and regulations within each of those countries in connection with the execution of the contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 484121. All firms or individuals responding must have experience transporting cargo for the US Government or International Aid organizations in a minimum of five (5) countries on the continent of Africa, experience conducting customs clearance, and must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to the closing date of the solicitation. This synopsis is provided for informational purposes and is not to be considered a request for quote. Solicitation Number W912PF-12-T-0001 is assigned for reference purposes. The entire solicitation (RFQ) will be made available on or about 06 October 2011 and will remain open for 30 days. The solicitation package will be posted and available for download only at FedBizOps https://www.fpo.gov; it will not be available via email or in hard copy. Once the solicitation is posted, on or about 06 October 2011, it will be the sole responsibility of the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. The resulting IDIQs will be for one (1) year plus two (2) option years.
