Description

Justification and Approval for Modified Quickset Equipment U.S. Customs and Border Protection has a requirement to procure QUICKSET (modified) Pan & Tilt part #QPT-90 (7-53135-BGC) for the L3 Bundle Pan & Tilt. L-3 Quickset is the only manufacture that provides this particular Pan & Tilt equipment compatible with the current Customs and Border Protection secure and open Intrusion Detection infrastructure. The equipment being procured is required to repair existing failed units of currently deployed TACCOM end-items. The items must be compatible with the existing expansive system spanning the entire United States. This initiative is necessary in order to immediately replace defective video surveillance equipment in compliant to intrusion detection used in support of the CBP's law enforcement mission. This is for the purchase of critical replacement of video surveillance equipment consisting of but not limited to, Pan and Tilt equipment used to control and direct video during RVSS and MVSS missions which are responsible for providing 24x7 local area network, wireless, surveillance and detection technology support to all Custom and Border Protection (CBP) field offices.
