- DLA Information Operations sited at New Cumberland PA (J6N) and Defense Distribution Depot Susquehanna (DDSP), New Cumberland and Mechanicsburg, PA require Information Technology (IT) and Telecom contractual services for on-site hardware, software, help desk, and technical support for 3,600 employees and to respond to approximately 6,155 trouble calls per month. J6N and DDSP need to ensure that all IT equipment, to include network servers/hardware, Government workstations, printers, portable computers, and other miscellaneous IT equipment are functioning at all times to support J6N and DDSP mission requirements. These services are mission essential services. DLA Information Operations does not have the expertise in house to perform these services, so contractual services are required. Contract SP3100-08-C-0040 is currently in place with Diverse Technologies Corporation (DTC) for the above required services. The contract period of performance ends 29 September 2011. DLA Distribution located at New Cumberland, PA is currently in the process of re-competing the services under solicitation number SP3300-11-R-0024 and anticipated an award date by 29 August 2011. However, the Government has encountered delays during the solicitation and proposal evaluation process. The estimated award date for the long-term contract is now 29 February 2012. In order to ensure that a break in services is not experienced, DLA Information Operations would like to modify contract SP3100-08-C-0040 to extend services for six months in accordance with FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, which is included in the contract. This modification is a sole source modification under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) "Only One Responsible Source/a Limited Number of Responsible Sources and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition will be posted after the execution of the modification. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 541513and the size standard is $25,000,000.00.
