Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Activity-8, in support of the VA Medical Center, West Palm Beach FL in accordance with VHA Directive 2009-004 and the DUSHOM (10N) memo to standardize the leasing of Endoscopes and related equipment, intends to negotiate a noncompetitive Federal Supply Schedule Delivery Order with Olympus America, Inc for a one year base and two one year options contract for various endoscopes and processor. The following endoscopes are being purchased through the mandatory FSS V797P-4282A: CF-H180AL, GIF H180, PCF H180AL all with service agreements. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one (1) source in accordance with FAR 8.402(f) and under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a) (2). This procurement is based on the determination that the governments' minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from only one source. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete the proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the government. The contract period is expected to run from date of award tentatively September 29, 2011 thru September 28, 2012. Responses due 1200hrs 26 Sep 2011.
