- Draft PWS for MC-12 Initial Qualification and Recurrent Training for pilots for sources sought purposes only. The Acquisition Management and Integration Center (AMIC), Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA is determining the acquisition strategy to obtain the following non-personal services: 1.) Provide Dept of Defense (DOD) pilots a King Air 350/350ER Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) type certification. 2.) Provide FAA qualified King Air 350/350ER DOD pilot's recurrent training. The required avionics package for both training courses is the Proline 21. All flight training will be accomplished in an FAA approved Level D Simulator as described in FAA advisor Circular 120-40B and the Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 121, Appendix H. The estimated period of performance is four years. A draft PWS is posted with the notice to provide provide the size and scope of this requirement. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). This is a market research tool to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources prior to issuing an RFP. The Government seeks industry input to determine if this acquisition should be a total small business set-aside under the auspice of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19, to increase competition, and to broaden industry participation in meeting Government requirements. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 611512 with a size standard of $25.5. Interested business concerns that are certified and qualified under NAICS 611512 should submit a capabilities package (please limit to no more than 10 pages total) outlining their key business relevant to the performance of this requirement. Submit all responses and capability statements to this office no later than 3 p.m. EDT on 11 Oct 2011. Hard copies of documents posted on FBO will not be made available. The Government will provide email confirmation of receipt of your statements. If companies do not receive an email confirmation after submitting their package, they are urged to verify receipt telephonically.
