Description

The proposed contract action is for open market calibration/repair services for which the government intends to solicit and to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(i). The government intends to issue a sole-source contract line item to Tektronix, Inc. for calibration and repair services that are incidental to the acquisition of equipment procured from Tektronix, Inc. via GSA task ordering in accordance with FAR 8.405, Award HSSS01-11-F-0234. The government has determined that Tektronix, Inc. is the only responsible source to ensure proper calibration of, maintenance for, and/or expedited replacement of equipment purchased from Tektronix that remains under manufacturer's warranty, in accordance with GSA Clause 552.246-17 (Dec 1990) (Alternate I - Dec 1990) (Deviation FAR 52.246-17). This is not a solicitation for these services, nor will a written solicitation be issued. The period of performance for this award shall be five (5) consecutive years from the date of receipt of the ordered items, which is anticipated to occur on or before November 30, 2011.
