- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ, intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with Triumph Gear Systems, for the procurement of two (2) Back Up Hydraulic Power Drive Units (HPDU), P/N 42555-52 to be placed into government provided Pylon Conversion Actuators (PCA). These PCA's are required to support validation of the Pylon Conversion Actuator Test Stand needed to test and fault isolate PCA's, by Fleet Readiness Center-East (FRC-E). This procurement is to install the HPDU on each of the two subject PCA's, and to perform a factory Acceptance Test Procedure on each unit to certify that both PCA's are in "Ready for Issue" condition. The Pylon Conversion Actuator is a flight critical aircraft component in which a company has to be certified to build the component. Triumph Gear Systems is the only company qualified to assemble and produce, and provide the government with these aircraft components to be used on the V-22 Aircraft. The two units that will be provided are in Non-Ready for Issue condition and will need to be refurbished by the OEM of this component, which is Triumph Gear Systems. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. However, responsible sources are encouraged to submit a resopnse to this synopsis in writing that contains information that would allow the government to determine whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for an award of a contract. The point of contact is Michael T. Miller - michael.t.miller7@navy.mil.
