Description
Pre-Solicitation Notice Strengthening Core Economic Governance Institutions (CORE II) - South Sudan SOL-OAA-11-000126 The purpose of this notice is to comply with the synopses and pre-solicitation notice requirements of FAR 5.2 - Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. Any solicitation resulting from this notice will be handled in accordance with FAR 5.102(d); therefore, availability of any resulting solicitation package will be limited to this electronic medium. Accordingly, interested vendors are encouraged to register themselves as an interested vendor. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Strengthening Core Economic Governance Institutions (CORE II) Project in South Sudan. The purpose of this solicitation will be to provide technical assistance and services for implementation of the CORE II Project in South Sudan. The objectives of this project are: 1. Strengthened public financial management by assistance to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (MoFEP) and state ministries of finance, 2. Strengthened financial governance through assistance to the Bank of South Sudan (BSS), and 3. Strengthened management of the natural resources sector, in particular petroleum and minerals, through assistance to MoFEP and the Ministry of Energy and Mining (MEM). USAID will issue an RFP several weeks from this notice. Please do not consider this announcement an RFP, and do not submit your proposals until a formal RFP is posted in the FedBizOpps website: http://www.FedBizOpps.gov. This notice does not obligate USAID to award a contract nor does it commit the U.S. Government to pay any cost incurred in the preparation and submission of proposals.
