Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Alexandria VA Medical Center, 2495 Shreveport Highway 71N, Pineville, LA 71360, is seeking a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) contractor to provide transportation, installation and instructions in the use of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) into the homes of qualified Veterans. Services needed will be outlined in the solicitation for this project. Any qualified SDVOSB 冱 that are properly registered at the VetBiz web site, and interested in bidding on this project, are requested to download the solicitation documents when they are posted. Proposals will be considered only from offerors who are regularly established in the business called for and who in the judgment of the Contracting Officer are financially responsible and can successfully fulfill the service(s) needed. The VA believes multiple awards may result from this solicitation. The NAICS code for this project is 423450. The size standard is 100 Employees. Period of performance will be from October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012 with four possible option years for extension. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be available for download by July 30, 2011. Close date for this notice will be August 5 at 4:30 PM Central Time.
