Description
The Individual Protective Measures training courses prepare civilian employees for deployment. The training focuses on tactics that will enable survival during dangerous situations as well as general precautions to be taken while deployed. The DIA requires several versions of this course for different customer groups; the level of instruction and variety of skills and scenarios is dependent on employee position requirements and previous job training. The agency generally teaches three versions of the course, from a 5-day Basic IPMT course, to a 10-day course with more advanced scenarios and exercised. This is a pre-solicitation request for information from small businesses, under NAICS code 611430, that hold an active SECRET facility clearance. Please provide up to 5 pages regarding ability to deliver pre-deployment training (Individual Protective Measures Training) to a largely civilian student population. DIA is looking for specific information about facilities including driving ranges (off-road included), small arms shooting ranges (pistol and carbine), classroom locations for conducting soft-tactics courses such as facilities observation and reporting, convoy operations including checkpoint scenarios, and combat medical tactics scenarios. Information about previous experience partnering with other training facilities to provide a full range of training options is relevant. Also requested is sample information about instructors (combat experience, law enforcement, specialties/SMEs), facility clearances, and previous experience providing this type of training including number of courses per year by type. Include in your response any current customers you provide with this training, and current contracts held and the Period of Performance of these contracts. Please provide this capabilities information by COB on 12 October 2011.
