Description
The US Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground-Belvoir intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Lockheed Martin Gyrocam Systems, 7345 16th St E Ste 101 Sarasota, FL 34243, a modification to firm-fixed-price purchase order W909MY-11-P-0002 for OCONUS installation and training of existing Vehicle Optics Sensor Systems (VOSS), produced by Lockheed Martin Gyrocam Systems, LLC, on specified Mine Protected Vehicles in theater (OCONUS) at various Forward Operation Base (FOB) locations for the period of 12 October 2011 through 31 December 2011. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements. All responsible sources that provide supporting data to demonstrate they can successfully provide the required installation and training services of the VOSS beginning on 12 October 2011, may submit a White Paper to be considered. It is requested that responses outline a description of the contractor's experience in providing installation and training services for currently fielded detection systems in wartime and organizational capabilities. Responses shall be no longer than 10 pages. This notice of intent is not a Request for Proposal and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Award will be made IAW Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All requests for information and responses must be submitted via e-mail within 5 calendar days of the date of this notice to Karen Travis, Contract Specialist, at karen.e.travis4.civ@us.army.mil. The subject of the e-mail message shall be: W909MY12QVOSS, Your Company's Name. No telephonic inquiries or requests will be honored.
