- Intent to Sole Source Contract Award This notice is for information purposes only. The Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a 1 year sole source contract award with Advanced Imaging Management, LLC under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy. Technical Scope: Technical Scope: The Contractor is responsible for the equipment and personnel required to perform Route Mobile MRI services for the obese and severely claustrophobic patient population at Jesse Brown VAMC in Chicago, IL. Because of this patient population s unique physical requirements, specific equipment is necessary. At the present time the only FDA approved mobile equipment for these services is the Seimens Magnetom Espree MRI System. As such, the personnel, or technicians, that are required to perform these services must be certified on this specific equipment. The services are required in a route like fashion. Specifically, the Contractor s Mobile MRI unit and personnel must come on site one day per week (7:00 am to 5:00 pm). The area utilized for staging this equipment is used for other hospital requirements throughout the week. An overview of the equipment and personnel requirements are listed below. These services are needed immediately. A.Equipment: Equipment shall furnish a fully equipped Siemens 1.5T Open Bore Magnetom Espree MRI System. Contractor equipment shall include: Quantum Gradient package (33MT/100 slew rate), TIM Applictions Suites (Neuro, Angio, Cardiac, Body, Oncology, Ortho, Pediatric), SYNGO software, Maestro software, iPAT and iPAT2, 1D/2D PACE, Dicom compatibility, Work list, Storage, MPPS, TIM (32x8) Q-engine, 19 flat screen LCD panel, 550# pt table. Eight channel coils supplied by contractor shall include: Head Matrix, Neck Matrix, Body Matrix, Spine Matrix, Small CP Flex, Large CP Flex & interface, CP Extremity, Shoulder Array, and Phased Array Wrist. Contractor shall provide: Pulse Oximeter, Medrad Spectris power injector, dry laser camera. Contractor shall furnish a Mobile Trailer where studies will be performed on equipment furnished by the Contractor. All equipment to be used will be FDA approved imaging equipment placed at the Jesse Brown VAMC in Chicago, IL. The entire offering of a MRI Mobile Trailer service shall meet all local, state, federal, industry, JCAHO, NEC, NFPA, VA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards. B.Personnel: Contractor shall provide all required (at least 2 FTE/service day) specialized medical MRI Technologists per service day and any qualified support staff (as patient volume requires) necessary to provide services for the VA patients. It is anticipated that equipment and staff will be required a minimum of a ten (10) hour day. VA reserves the right to increase or decrease the amount of services required based upon patient needs. POP: October 5, 2011 through September 30, 2012 Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by October 12, 2011. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement by October 12, 2011; these will be evaluated by the government. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation documents are available and no telephone request will be honored.
