Description
This is a pre-solicitation notice only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 19 Mountain Network Contracting Center (RMNCC), Glendale, Colorado seeks a contractor who shall provide the Department of Veterans Affairs Salt Lake City UT with Fire alarm system monitoring services. Contractor shall provide full monitoring service for Government owned Fire Alarm Dialer system located at the VA Medical Center, 500 Foothill Blvd., Salt Lake City, Utah 84148. This service will include 24 hour monitoring and fire department notification 365 days a year. Contractor shall provide service in accordance with all STATE, FEDERAL and NFPA regulations and safety requirements. Posting of the solicitation is anticipated on or about 6 Oct 2011. The contractor shall provide labor, travel, ALL parts and ALL material deemed necessary to maintain a fire alarm dispatch service which in case of an alarm being received from All Buildings. The dispatch company will have direct communications with the Salt Lake City Fire Department either by direct alarm, voice connect or through telephone connection. In addition to dispatching the fire department, the alarm company shall after notifying the fire department call the VA boiler plant to confirm the alarm. Additionally, the contractor shall provide a telephone number where the contractor can be reached in order to stop a dispatch in case it is determined that a false alarm was sent in, or in case of where the VA fire drills or system testing.
