- Description
- The United States Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns, for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSB) or for Small Business. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The NAICS Code is 336611. The acquisition is for DRYDOCK repairs to the USCGC TYBEE (WPB-1330), a 110 Foot "B Class" Patrol Boat. The vessel is home ported in Woods Hall, MA. All work will be performed at the contractor's facility. This vessel is geographically restricted to 540 Nautical Miles one way, or 1,080 Nautical Miles, round-trip from the cutters homeport of Woods Hall, MA. The performance period will be FIFTY-NINE (59) calendar days with a start date of 13 April through 11 May 2012. The scope of the acquisition is for the Drydocking and repairs of the USCGC TYBEE (WPB-1330), a 110 Foot "B Class" Patrol Boat. This work will include, but is not limited to: Hull Plating (U/W Body), Ultrasonic Testing Appendages (U/W), Leak Test Tanks (Potable Water), Clean and Inspect Propulsion System, Alignment Check Rudder Assembly, Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Grey Water Holding Tanks, Clean and Inspect Sewage Holding Tanks, Clean and Inspect Aft Steering Compartment, Preserve and Insulate Decks - Exterior, Preserve ( " Non-Skid Broadcast Grit" System) U/W Body, Preserve "Partial - Condition A " U/W Body, Preserve "Partial - Condition B" U/W Body, Preserve "Partial - Condition C " Drydocking Temporary Services, Provide Data Service, Provide Sea Trial Performance, Provide Support Tanks (MP Fuel Service), Clean and Inspect Tanks (MP Fuel Stowage and Overflow), Clean and Inspect Fathometer Transducer, Renew Speed Doppler, Doppler Valve, Clean and Inspect Tanks (Potable Water), Preserve " 100% " All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures. Your response is required by October 14, 2012. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on a HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business set aside or Small Business set aside. Failure to submit all information requested may result in an unrestricted acquisition. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a HUBZone or SDVOSB small business set aside, or a Small Business set aside, will be posted on the FedBizOps website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
