- Description
- The USCG Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC), Small Boat Product Line (SBPL) is seeking sources to provide overhaul of Twin Disc reduction gears for models MG-507A1 which is currently used on the 49' Buoy System; MG-509, currently used on the 41' Utility Boat (UTB); MG-514M, used on the 55' Aids To Navigation Boat (ANB); and MG-5114SC which is used on the 45' Response Boat Medium (RBM). The overhauls shall be completed in accordance with Coast Guard specifications and shall require use of only genuine OEM parts - no substitutes or aftermarket parts shall be accepted. It is the Government's belief that only Twin Disc and/or their authorized repair facilities/dealers possess the necessary proprietary technical and engineering data to successfully overhaul these reduction gears, therefore it is the Government's intent to solicit and negotiate with Twin Disc and/or their authorized distributors. Concerns were given the opportunity to submit their capabilities in the Notice published on 05-26-2011. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1.
