Description

The VA Medical Center, Bronx, NY intends to award a sole source GWAC contract to Siemens Medical Solutions, Inc. under authority of FAR 6.302-1 Unusual and Compelling Urgency to Siemens Medical Solutions, Inc. Period of Performance is from October 1, 2011 thru September 30,2012. NAICS Code for this task is 811219with a size standard of $7.0 million. Contractor will provide all labor, parts, travel and supervision as necessary for the Oncor Linear Accelerator equipment. The intent is to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract for Annual Maintenance of Siemens Oncor Linear Accelerator Unit located at the Brooklyn VA, located at 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, NY 11209-7104., Justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This FBO posting announcement is being placed to satisfy requirements in FAR 5.201. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by e-mail to gregory.vogt@va.gov no later than 3PM EST, October 28,2011. The Contracting Officer shall determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will be accepted in writing by mail.
