- Description
- VA-245-11-IB-0227 - The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a construction contractor to furnish and install all labor, tools, materials, equipment, supplies and supervision to provide Renovations to CPC-1, 2 and 3 at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg WV in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Work includes, but is not limited to, architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, etc. Project Number is 613-11-130. Competition for this procurement is restricted to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The work includes, but is not limited to, minor renovations to CPC-1, asbestos removal, painting, ceiling and floor replacement, install card readers, etc. Estimated construction cost range is $250,000 and $500,000. The firm must be a General Construction firm approved under NAICS: 236220, size standard: $33.5 million. The offeror shall obtain any and all necessary licenses or permits required to perform this work in the State of West Virginia. Prospective contractors must be registered and certified online with http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov and must be registered at http://www.ccr.gov and https://orca.bpn.gov to be eligible for award. A Joint Venture Agreement (JV Agreement) must be completed at the time of bid opening and conform to JV requirements. JV Agreements should be submitted with the bid. Bids will be accepted from only responsible and responsive contractors. There will be one pre-bid site visit which will be held on September 13, 2011 @ 9 a.m. in the Facilities Management/VISN5 Contracting Conference Room, Building 308B, VAMC, 510 Butler Avenue, Martinsburg, WV 25405. Contractors will be escorted to Building 500 where a visitor ™s pass will be obtained from Lobby personnel to visit the site. All interested parties are encouraged to attend. All questions generated from the site visit shall be submitted in writing to the alternate Contracting Officer. The project duration is expected to be 120 calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed. Prospective contractors may acquire solicitation documents, which are only available in.pdf electronic format by registering and downloading plans and specifications from FedBizOpps website www.fbo.gov. Solicitation will be issued on or about August 29, 2011. This is a SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN OWNED BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The procurement is subject to availability of funds.
