- Description
- Description: The purpose of this amendment to the sources sought / market survey originally posted on 18-Apr-2011 is to add an additional 20mm Cartridge configuration to the multiple 20mm Cartridge configurations previously listed in the 18-Apr-2011 notice. The following 20mm Cartridge and its anticipated requirements will also be included in this potential procurement: PGU-28 A/B Semi-Armor Piercing High Explosive Incendiary (SAPHEI) linked in M14A2N links, DODIC AA23, NSN: 1305-01-451-8683. The PGU-28 A/B linked configuration supports the U.S. Navy (USN) Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers. This cartridge is fired from the M197 Gun System in the AH-1 Cobra aircraft. Current anticipated requirements are approximately 200,000 each for the entire period FY13 - FY17. The Government TDP contains the product specifications and corresponding drawing packages. Submission Information: Interested U.S./Canadian firms who feel they are capable of manufacturing the above 20mm Cartridge as well as the multiple 20mm Cartridges listed in the original 18-Apr-2011 notice are invited to indicate their interest by providing the Government: 1) A brief summary of their company's capabilities, facilities, personnel, and past manufacturing experience, 2) Their monthly production capacities with assumptions about number of shifts and any other production factors that may affect their monthly capacities, and 3) The advantages of combining production of all of the above listed cartridges into a single procurement. Information shall be provided electronically to Dave Buennig at david.w.buennig.civ@mail.mil. Offerors are instructed to include "20mm Systems Acquisition" as the subject of their response. Please respond no later than 15 calendar days from this amendment's posted date. Potential sources that have previously responded to the original notice need not re-submit 1), 2), and 3) above. Potential sources that have previously responded need to only submit an e-mail to david.w.buennig.civ@mail.mil stating that the inclusion of the additional 20mm cartridge listed above does not adversely affect their previous response (i.e. the previous response submitted can also be used to show the respondent's capability to meet 1), 2), and 3) above for this additional cartridge). Please respond no later than 15 calendar days from this amendment's posted date. If a potential source is unable to locate the original notice posted on 18-Apr-2011, please contact Dave Buennig at david.w.buennig.civ@mail.mil to request a copy of the original notice. This market survey is for planning purposes only and the requirements may change. This shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited.
