Description
The Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville, Florida intend to solicit for refurbishing support of the US Navy s Pratt & Whitney J52-P-408B turbo jet engine second stage turbine blades. The refurbishing process shall entail inducting used turbine blades in an as is condition; performing the required inspection, refurbishing, and marking in accordance with Directives 3.1 and 3.2 of the statement of work and then returning the blades to the Government. The PWA 70/73 coating identification symbol shall be provided on all PWA 70/73 coated blades for the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast, Jacksonville, FL. The requirement is for 11,232 blades per year. The proposed procurement is for a base year and a one-year option period. The period of performance will be 01 January 2012 through 31 December 2012 for the first year. FOB Destination. The resulting contract will be a Fixed Price Requirements type contract with task order provisions. This requirement will be unrestricted and is identified under NAICS Code 336412 with the small business size standard being 1000 employees. The complete statement of work and technical specifications will be provided in the Request for Proposal (RFQ). If contractors have not repaired parts under the requirements of the Critical Safety Items Desktop Guide within the last two years, they will need to submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) with proposal package. The anticipated release date of the RFQ is on or about 31 October 2011 and will close 30 days thereafter. The RFQ will be made available electronically at the Federal Business Opportunities (www.fedbizopps.gov) and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (www.neco.navy.mil) web sites. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to independently review the referenced websites frequently for updates. No paper copies of these documents will be issued. Offerors must be registered and active in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be considered for award. See www.ccr.gov for further information and instruction.
