Description
UPDATE: 28 October 2011 - The estimated date for solicitation release isNovember 29, 2011. Solicitation number N00039-11-R-0068 originallyassigned to this effort has been updated to reflect an FY12 solicitation numberN00039-12-R-0002. The projected proposal/bid date has been updated toJanuary 4, 2012. *******************************************************Solicitation number N00039-10-R-0023 originally assigned to this effort hasbeen updated to reflect an FY11 solicitation number N00039-11-R-0068. This synopsis was orignally released as a special notice on 03/12/2010 underreference number N00039_SNOTE_00000000. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), ProgramExecutive Office (PEO) Command, Control, Communications, Computers andIntelligence (C4I) Navy Communications Program Office, Code PMW-170 will beprocuring 200 watt (W) power amplifiers (PAs) for the Digital Modular Radio(DMR) program. DMR is a software definable radio with embedded INFOSEC,capable of transmitting and receiving on four RF channels simultaneously. Itis based on an open system architecture and is interoperable over the-air withexisting HF/VHF/UHF Line of Sight & UHF SATCOM circuits such as DAMA,SINCGARS, AN/WSC-3, VHF Civilian Air Distress, and other circuits utilizinglegacy radios. Each RF channel of the radio will be capable of operatinganywhere in the 2MHz to 2GHz frequency band. The PA operates in the 30MHzto 400 MHz range. The contemplated contract will procure an estimated four hundred fourty-nine(449) 200W PAs over a five year period via a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract.The solicitation will be issued without further notice and will be available attheSPAWAR E-Commerce Central website. The subject procurement will be a full and open competition. The NorthAmerican Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is334220 (Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless CommunicationsEquipment Manufacturing).
