- Description
- Engine Exchange Program Request For Information (RFI) The OC-ALC Propulsion Sustainment Division is investigating a possible Engine Exchange Program executed pursuant to 41 CFR 102-39. In the initial exchange, USAF would trade 50-60 F100-100 whole engines to a vendor for an equivalent value in whole engines, modules, or parts. If successful, later exchanges would provide varying quantities and types of engines (i.e. F101-102, F110-100B, and T56-7 etcetera) to a vendor in exchange for vendor items. Items under consideration include, but are not limited to, F100-PW-229 whole engines, F101 Service Life Extension (SLEP) kits, F110-100 SLEP kits, TF34 Boltless Rotor Upgrade (BRU) kits, and/or T56 3.5 kits. The Propulsion Sustainment Division is requesting information from industry regarding such a potential exchange, considering these key factors (by engine type/model/series, if appropriate): - Overall interest and feasibility - Potential industry offerings - Likely disposition of any exchanged engines - Industry critical considerations We are not looking for company brochures, but information which specifically addresses this effort. Please keep all submissions under 20 pages. In your response, please submit the company name, street address, point of contact with phone number, and email address. All responses must be unclassified. Companies responding to this request should indicate whether they are a large, small business, small disadvantaged business, woman-owned business, HUBZONE small business and/or service disabled veteran-owned small business. Unclassified written comments and questions regarding the Engine Exchange Program shall be submitted by 11 January 2012 to the following: Valerie Jamerson/Contracting Officer at valerie.jamerson@tinker.af.mil, Phone: (405) 739-4349. Questions should be limited to matters not involving classified and/or business proprietary matters. At any time after receipt of comments/questions, the Government reserves the right to contact respondents for further clarification of the submittal. This announcement does not constitute a commitment of any kind on the part of the Government, and any costs associated with preparing a response will not be reimbursed.
