- This is a market survey only. This is NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP).There is NO REQUIREMENT. This is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to procure these items, nor does the Government intend to award on the basis of this sources sought or otherwise pay for the information requested. There is NO FORMAL RFP AVAILABLE. Any firm choosing to submit a response to this market survey, must do so with the understanding that all information will be submitted at no cost or obligation to the U.S. Government. No confirmation of receipt, or Government reply will be provided to any respondent. This market survey shall close at 1400 (2:00PM) EST on Friday, December 2nd, however it is requested that all respondents provide their submission on or before 1400 on Wednesday, November 16th. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is interested in identifying vendors with the experience, industrial infrastructure and logistical base (capabilities) necessary to fabricate and supply spare components for small arms. In particular, this source sought inquiry pertains long range rifles (sniper applications), calibered between 12.7mm and 7.62mm. Only respondents interested and capable of supplying the Government with a COMPLETE set of spare parts (all components and subassemblies contained within an end item rifle) should respond to this survey. Respondents should be under the assumption that a technical data package with the appropriate data rights and license agreements will be supplied by the Government. The technical data package will define the required design configuration and procedures to ensure adequacy of item performance and will consist of both detailed design drawings that support part fabrication and lists that identify ancillary system components by commercial part number. Any information must be furnished via email to David DeCandia at david.decandia@us.army.mil and Gary Ferguson at gary.ferguson2@us.army.mil. PLEASE, NO TELEPHONE RESPONSES OR INQUIRIES. The Government is requesting ONLY the following MINIMAL information within any response to this market survey: -Company Name -Company Address -Company point of contact and phone number -Please identify past experience in supplying spare parts to a customer (any Government (Federal, State, Local) contracts or Commercial contracts/business ventures) with a brief description of the item of supply. Again, emphasis shall be placed on the fact that this is NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP), there is NO REQUIREMENT, and NO FORMAL RFP AVAILABLE. All respondents are discouraged from submitting more than the requested, minimal information. Thank you in advance for your submission.
