Description

The Naval Air System Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole source contract with Lockheed Martin Corporation Marietta, GA for an indefinite delivery type contract for the procurement of Contractor Sustainment and Technical Engineering Support Services (TESS) for the KC-130J Aircraft for fiscal years (FY) 2013 through 2017 (base and four option years). THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only. Lockheed Martin Corporation is the only firm that possesses the necessary knowledge, experience and technical data required to perform these efforts. The Government intends to award this contract pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302-1. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract. This synopsis is published to notify potential sub-contractors of an anticipated sole-source contract action and the potential of sub-contracting opportunities with Lockheed Martin.
