Description
The Social Security Administration (SSA), Office of Acquisition and Grants (OAG), is currently performing market research to determine the availability of vendor sources that can provide Regionwide on-site document and cd shredding service for approximately 200-225 office sites located within five states and the District of Columbia(see list of states below). The Agency is seeking information on vendors that have the capability to provide on-site, monthly, weekly, bi-weekly services as well as provide required bins and related equipment to the Social Security Administration. The shredding must be performed on-site due to the Agency requirement that the management team witness the destruction of the material including media products, such as CDs. SSA intends to use any information provided in response to this notice to develop an acquisition strategy. Specifically, respondents must submit, at a minimum, the following information: 1) Experience providing this type of service. 2) Socioeconomic and business size status. 3) Service Areas 4) Identification of the types of services offered by your company. 5) Availability of supplies and services through existing Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts (i.e., GSA Federal Supply Schedules) Interested sources that believe they have the bona fide capability to provide these services and products as described above should submit a detailed capabilities statement electronically to Linda.Seidle@ssa.gov. You may also fax information to (215) 597-4033. Please reference SSA-RFI-12-1006a in the email subject line. SSA must receive all responses by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on December 6, 2011. *** Synopsis Terms and Conditions *** -This is a sources sought announcement, a market survey for written information only. - This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and the Government will not award a contract from this announcement. -The Government will not reimburse for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. -The Government will not accept any telephone calls, or requests for a bid package or solicitation.
