Description

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. The RFQ number is N00189-12-T-0015. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses: FAR Clauses: http://acquisition.gov/comp/far/index.html and DFARS Clauses: http://www.acq.osd.mil/dpap/dars/dfars/index.htm FLC Norfolk intends to purchase on a sole source basis the following item(s): Cable Television Service (80 drops, to include franchise and FCC fees) for one year with Comcast of Illinois. Period of Performance is from 1 Jan 2012 through 31 Dec 2012. Comcast of Illinois, 1585 Waukegan Road, Waukegan, IL 60085 has a Franchise Agreement with Naval Station base from 6 Dec 2004 through 5 Dec 2019. This is for cable only, no satellite accepted. The NAICS code is 517110 and the Small Business Standard is 1,500 employees. FOB Destination applies. Responsibility and Inspection: unless otherwise specified in the order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements and quality control. The proposed contract action is for commercial services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received 3 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
