- Description
- The contractor will provide a multi-wavelength laser particle size analyzer with a liquids module and sample cells with PIDS. The US Geological Survey (USGS) intends to procure a laser particle size analyzer, by brand name or equal, Beckman Coulter LS 13320 Multi Wavelength Particle Analyzer (P/N 731309), with an Aqueous Liquid Module (P/N 6605638), and ALM Sample Cell with PIDS (P/N 6605685), for the USGS Pacific & Marine Science Center, Santa Cruz, CA 95060. At a minimum the analyzer must 1) have an automatic, timer based laser alignment routine; 2) have a 126 detector array to measure scattered laser light; 3) recognition of sample distribution without operator input; 4) must measure single wave lengths 0.375 um to 2000 um and multi wavelength 0.04 um to 2000 um; 5) must provide Fraunhofer & Mie theory calculation options; 6) allow the user to create own Mie theory optical models; 7) have automatic data-logging of analysis parameters; 8) optional automatic print and data export functions; 9) password controlled access to key functions; 10) a range of operator levels with different security level settings; 11) modules for aqueous and non-aqueous applications. All offerors must consider a trade-in allowance for an existing USGS owned Beckman Coulter LS100Q/LS230 system. All responses will be FOB Destination. Responses must include a technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance by the agency with the requirements in the solicitation. All proposals or capabilities statements may be sent to the Contract Specialist at sevans@usgs.gov. Point of Contact: Stewart Evans, Contract Specialist, (916) 278-9334, Fax (916) 278-9339. Email sevans@usgs.gov. Delivery Location: Santa Cruz, CA 95060 Anticipated award date is NLT 30 November 2011. Estimated Delivery Date: 30 Days from Award
