Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, TX intends to make a single award for the provision of Radiological Technologist services for inmates at the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, the United States Penitentiary (USP) Lewisburg, PA. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621399 (Size Standard: $7 million). The contractor must have the ability to work with an inmate population from a variety of cultural, regional, racial and ethnic backgrounds. The Contractor's employee providing Radiological Technologist services under this contract award must have graduated from an accredited school or program with a certification in Radiography; be certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association; possess a certification issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and two (2) years of work experience as a Radiological Technologist. All personnel performing services under this contractual agreement shall have the ability to read, understand, fluently speak, and legibly write the English language. Bilingual oral communication skills in Spanish are preferred, along with correctional experience being desirable, but they are not required. Quoters must specifically identify the individual(s) that will be performing these services under any subsequent contract award. The licenses will be subject to verification. The Contractor will provide a copy of all diplomas and/or certificates to support stated qualifications. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database under NAICS Code 621399. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The contract periods will consist of a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods for renewal with an estimated maximum of 624 sessions per year. The Contractor will normally work, Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays), normally between the hours of 6:00 am and 8:00 pm, with a thirty minute unpaid lunch period, (if applicable). The facility is expected to require an average of 12 sessions per week, normally six, one hour session twice a time week. The solicitation will be available on/about November 2, 2011 and will be distributed solely through this website. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions to obtain all documents relating to this solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including the solicitation and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. The date for receipt of quotations is on/about December 2, 2011; however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date quotations are due. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This solicitation is a total small business set-aside. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit a quotation which may be considered. See Note 1.
