Description
ATLAS COPCO COMPRESSOR REBUILD The following describes the scope (SOW) to rebuild the airend (consisting of two airend units) on Atlas Copco GA200 Compressor (Type GA200, SN AIF.076668, max pressure 132 psi, input power 272 HP, shaft speed 1786 RPM, YOM 2002) located in the northwest corner of Bldg 333. RRAD compressor mechanics observed high temperatures, excessive noise, and high vibrations leading them to conclude that the main bearings in the #1 airend unit have failed. The contractor shall furnish all the required labor, travel and living expenses, transporation, repair parts, equipment and supplies required to perform the following tasks: Remove and transport the airend to their repair facility. Disassemble and inspect the airend units. Remove and repair or replace the damaged components, as appropriate. Note: All gaskets exposed during the rebuild process shall be replaced with new gaskets. All bearings exposed during the rebuild process shall be inspected and, if necessary, replaced with new bearings. Reassemble the airend units. Transport the airend back to the depot and install on the compressor. Perform an operational test of the compressor to ensure satisfactory performance. Contractor shall ensure that Bldg 333 is left in a neat and orderly condition after completion of the work. General Notes: Contractor shall be responsible for arranging for transportation of the compressor airend fromRRAD to their repair facility and back. RRAD will assist with forklift support, if required. All costs of travel, lodging, and per diem shal be invoiced ub accordance with the Joint Travel Regulations. Contractor shall provide a full parts and labor warranty on the rebuilt compressor airend for a minimum of 12 months after final acceptance by the government. This means that should the compressor airend fail operate during the warranty period due to the failure of components replaced or work performed during the rebuild, the contractor shall immediately send a service technician an provide all required labor abd repair parts required to return the compressor to full operation at no cost to the government.
