Description

This is a synopsis prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. This is a Notice of Intent. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The announcement number for this acquisition is OLAO-OD5-NIH-2322759 and is being issued under the authority of FAR Subpart 6.302-1, 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The anticipated award date is ___ November 14, 2011 _____________. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is a small business set-aside. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is ___ 811219 _, which has a size dollar standard of ___ $19.0M ________. The National Institutes of Health, Office of the Director, Office of Logistics and Acquisitions Operations, on the behalf of __ National Eye Institute, intends to procure on a sole source basis from Applied Biosystems, for the following upgrade on Item/Part# 0001/4359571 Upgrade 3100/3130XL w/Computer Limited Warranty: Item/Part# 0002/4339241 SW, SEQA & GM (W/) ROYALTY); 0003/4361063 3130 SEQ/FRAG ANALYSIS INSTALL; 0004/ZG11-SC3130-16 AB Assurance 1PM 3130-16; Shipping and Handling. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider responses submitted. Responses must be submitted no later than 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST), November 11, 2011 to Van Holley. For delivery through the Postal Service, the address is NIH/OD/OLAO/OA Simplified Acquisitions - Branch 5, 6011 Executive Blvd, Suite 537B, MSC 7663, Rockville, MD 20852. Electronic submission preferred and will be accepted.
