Description: Contractor shall provide and install three 24 foot diameter industrial fans and relocate one existing 24 foot diameter industrial fan. 17. Set-aside Status: Service Disabled Veterans Owned Small Business b) Transmittal method - Via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov c) Contractor is to provide and install three 24 foot diameter industrial fans and relocate one existing 24 foot diameter industrial fan in accordance with the latest version of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the manufacturer's recommendations. The fans shall be capable of moving a minimum of 364,354 cubic feet per minute of free air contained within a given space using the least amount of electrical power. (1)National Stock Number (NSN) - Not Applicable (2)The fan motor shall be a minimum of 2 HP, 1750 RPM, 480V AC, 3 Phase. Safety cable shall be galvanized steel sized at a maximum 7/16 inch diameter screw-in shackles. (3)Each fan shall have ten (10) low speed airfoils with winglets made from aluminum alloy, weighing no more than 1.52 pounds per foot of length. The airfoils shall be interlocked with airfoil retainers to prevent an individual airfoil from becoming accidently disconnected from the hub. Safety cable shall be provided as an additional means of securing the fan assembly to the building structure. The safety cable shall be galvanized steel sized at a minimum inch diameter with swaged end loops. The ends shall be secured by a minimum 7/16 inch diameter screw-in shackles. Fan controllers shall consist of 1 fan controller per fan. The fan controllers shall be UL listed as Industrial Controls panels and built pursuant to construction guidelines set forth by article 508A and the National Electrical Code (NEC). Each fan controller shall include a factory programmed Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) to provide a soft start as well as infinite speed control capability for the fan. The controls shall be housed in a National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) Type 1 enclosure to prevent accidental contact with the enclosed equipment and to exclude entry of unwanted substances. Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, material and supervision necessary to provide and install three (3) Phase Ceiling Fans, two foot, 490V, with extension tubes. The brand names Envira-North Systems HVLS Fans, BigAssFans Inc., Big Fans 2-Go "or equal" are brands that may be considered appropriate for this project. See attached drawing for fan locations. (4)Quantity: Three New Fans and One Existing Fan Relocated (5)Unit of Issue: each (6)Destination Information: Warehouse 30, DDJC Tracy Site, Tracy California (7) Period of Performance for Schedule: January 10, 2012 through March 9, 2012 (8)Proposed Contract Action: (i) This acquisition is proceeding as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This RFQ is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVO) and all responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The award decision will be based on the lowest quotation that specifies a product that meets the technical specifications of the requirements. (ii) Estimated Cost Range is between $25,000 $61,000 (iii) The anticipated award date is December 20, 2011 (9) This procurement is subject to the Buy American Act- Construction Materials-FAR 52.225-9 (10) Technical data including plans, drawings and specifications will be furnished through FedBizOpps, https://www.fedbizopps.gov. with the solicitation. This Procurement will be conducted under FSC code: Z179; NAICS Code: 238210. The size standard for this code is $14,000,000.00.
