The 5th Annual MacDill SDVOSB/VOSB and SB Conference & Expo is a two-day conference being held December 7-8, 2011 at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, FL. This conference is hosted by the 6th Air Mobility Wing at MacDill AFB in partnership with United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), University of South Florida (USF) Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), and The Tampa-St. Petersburg (Pelican) Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). The goal of the conference is to provide the Small Business community with the tools and opportunities to take their businesses to the next level through education and interaction with their peers. Large Businesses have the opportunity to meet new qualified vendors that will facilitate Small Business contracting initiatives. Representatives from the 6th Air Mobility Wing at MacDill AFB, United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at University of South Florida (USF), Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), and The Tampa-St. Petersburg (Pelican) Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), prime contractors, and other federal government agencies will be available to answer questions about doing business with their respective organizations. Attendees will participate in workshops and panel discussions led by program, small business procurement officials and prime contractors. They will also have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with agency contracting, acquisition and small business personnel during "MATCHMAKING" event on 8 December 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Topics will include prime and subcontracting opportunities, business development resources, acquisition needs, and more.
