- Yellowstone National Park is seeking capable sources for a requirement entitled: Metal Flashing for the Mammoth Hot Springs Administration Building. The requirement consists of the supply, fabrication, and delivery of custom metal roof flashing needed for the installation of a new tile roof to be completed by National Park Service employees at Yellowstone National Park. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project may be 332312 (associated small business size standard is 500 employees) or 331421 (associated small business size standard is 750 employees). This sources-sought announcement is a tool to identify concerns with the capability to accomplish the work. This is not a solicitation. If a solicitation is issued, detailed drawings and specifications will be made available upon issuance. Only those firms who respond to this announcement by submitting the following information will be used in determining whether to set aside this requirement. Please provide all of the following: 1)A capability statement expressing interest in this requirement, describing your company and its employee's capability to complete a project of this magnitude and complexity. Include a statement detailing any special qualifications and certifications, applicable to the scope of this project, held by your firm and/or in-house personnel. 2)A statement or list of your firm's current or past technical experience similar to or the same as the summary scope of work for this requirement. Include a brief description of each project scope and schedule. 3)A statement or list of your firm's current or past performance similar to or the same as the summary scope of work. Include a point of contact name, phone number and email address. 4)A statement of your firm's business size and type (HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), woman-owned, Small Business, etc). Submit this information to Mr. Aragon Liebzeit, Contract Specialist, via email to Aragon_Liebzeit@nps.gov. Your response to this notice must be received, in writing, on or before 3:00PM (local time) on November 18, 2011. Summary Scope of Work Custom metal flashing fabrication includes:Forming metal gutter liners for historic gutters.Forming wall and trim flashing.Eve and fascia flashing and cap flashing for over the eve flashing.Dormer aprons and sidewall flashing.Forming flashing and counter flashing for masonry chimneys.Expansion joints.Metal valleys.Chimney crickets.Custom hood and cone flashing for various round roof vents 24" to 48" diameters. Metal used for these fabricated parts will be:Lead-coated Copper: ASTM B101, Temper H00 and H01, coated on both sides with lead weighing not less than 12 lbs/100 sq. ft. cold-rolled copper sheets of various weights (thickness) as indicated on the drawings. Zinc-Coated (Galvanized) Steel sheets, ASTM A 653/A 653M, G90 (Z275) coating designation; structural quality. Lead sheets: ASTM B 749, Type L51121, copper-bearing lead sheet. All fabrication will take place off site. When complete, all metal fabrication and parts will be delivered to Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park.
