- RFI description Sources Sought Notice Office of Minority & Women Inclusion Conflict Facilitation DISCLAIMER: This Sources Sought Notice is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposals (RFP), Invitation for Bid (IFB) or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any services. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice shall not serve as proposals, bids, or offers, which could be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the responding party's expense, and responses to the RFI will not be returned. The Government reserves the right to determine how it should proceed as a result of this Notice. Introduction The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) charters, regulates, and supervises all United States national banks and federal thrifts. OCC also supervises the federal branches and agencies of foreign banks. Headquartered in Washington, DC, the OCC has four district offices plus an office in London to supervise the international activities of national banks. Bank supervision is the core activity of the agency. The OCC's nationwide staff of examiners conducts on-site reviews of national banks and provides sustained supervision of bank operations. The agency issues rules, legal interpretations, and corporate decisions concerning banking, bank investments, bank community development activities, federal thrifts and other aspects of bank operations. OCC Corporate Objectives: The OCC's activities are predicated on four objectives that support the OCC's mission to ensure a stable and competitive national banking system. The four objectives are: • To ensure the safety and soundness of the national bank system • To foster competition by allowing banks to offer new products and services • To improve the efficiency and effectiveness of OCC supervision, including reducing regulatory burden • To ensure fair and equal access to financial services for all Americans Period of Performance (Tentative) Tuesday April 3, 2012 through Wednesday April 4, 2012; 8:30 AM. - 4:00 PM Place of Performance Washington, DC metro area Scope The OCC is planning a two-day practicum and requires trainers/facilitators to train employees on facilitating workplace conflicts. Conflict facilitation is not the same as meeting or process facilitation which is typically focused on helping a group reach a decision or outcome in a meeting. Conflict facilitation is focused on helping people resolve inter-personal conflicts, improve communications, and rebuild trust. At a minimum, the two-day practicum should include: •§ Lectures and demonstrations by the trainer; •§ Role play exercises for the participants to practice skills and tools; •§ Facilitation toolkit, including ice-breaker exercises; and •§ Tips on evaluating the success of the facilitation and determining if follow-up is needed Approximately 35 employees are expected to be in attendance. Objective At the conclusion of the two-day practicum, participants will acquire the skills and tools necessary to successfully facilitate those who are involved in workplace conflicts. Participants will be more equipped to facilitate sessions for as few as 2 people, and as many as 40 or more people. Submission Information Qualified vendors must respond to Darryle Brown no later than 3:00 p.m. EST, on December 1, 2011 by emailing the following information to Darryle.Brown@occ.treas.gov : Provide your company's socioeconomic status (e.g., HUBZone, Small Business, Large Business etc.) Provide Federal supply schedule information (to include contract number) for only those vehicles that encompass the type of work described herein (if applicable). Provide a brief overview of your company and the services it provides. Describe your firm's capabilities and qualifications as they relate to the business need and general requirements stated in this Request for Information. Provide a cost estimate for your services (to include estimate number of facilitators/trainers. •6. Please provide a reference list of related contracts/projects (government or commercial) within the past three (3) years, to include contract number (if applicable), dollar value, a brief description of services, and points of contact with phone numbers. Questions regarding this RFI shall be submitted via email to Darryle Brown at Darryle.Brown@occ.treas.gov. All responses are limited to five pages in 12pt., Times New Roman font and should not exceed 1MB in size. All responses shall be submitted to Darryle Brown, via email at Darryle.Brown@occ.treas.gov no later than 3:00 p.m. EST, on December 1, 2011. The Government reserves the right to reject in whole or in part, any industry input as a result of this Notice.
