Description
This project is for installing fire suppression systems in eight separate but adjoining telephone/communication/computer/switch rooms on first floor of building 350 at Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, IL. This is a design/build project. The base bid includes the design, installation and testing of new double interlock pre-action fire suppression system including piping, air compressor, fire sprinklers, valves, sump pump, pipe labeling, heat detectors, wiring, conduit, emergency stop push buttons, hold-open devices for doors, door gasketing and a new fire alarm panel with graphics. Work includes all fire detection alarm and notification devices. Options are included in the project to design, install and test clean agent fire suppression systems in seven of the eight rooms. All work shall be in compliance with most recent building and fire codes. The project requires a licensed architectural and/or engineering firm to provide all design drawings, construction documents, and specifications necessary for construction. The contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, labor, and quality control to complete the project. Work shall be in accordance with the provided scope of work, planning drawings and guide specifications and documents. Work should be accomplished within 360 days after award of contract.
