Description
Amendment No.5 The RFP is amended to incorporate additional questions & answers. Original Synopsis : The United States Agency for International Development in India (USAID/India) intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for their new energy and climate change program titled Partnership to Advance Clean Energy Deployment (PACE-D). The solicitation may be released o/a September 6, 2011. Over a period of five years, the contract will assist in deploying clean energy technologies, systems and solutions. It will build upon over twenty five years of technical assistance and training provided by USAID, including partnerships catalyzed between leading Indian energy/power companies, national labs, regulatory bodies and their U.S. counterparts. The PACE-D contract will accelerate Indias transition to a high performing, low emissions and energy secure economy by primarily working on three key components improved end use energy efficiency, increased supply of renewable energy and adoption and accelerated deployment of cleaner fossil technologies and management systems. Under each of these components, focus will be on creating enabling environment by strengthening policy and regulatory institutions, increasing finance and enhancing institutional and human capacity. Award of a contract shall be made subject to the availability of funds. This notice does not obligate USAID to award a contract nor does it commit the U.S. Government to pay any cost incurred in the preparation and submission of proposals.
