- Description
- The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Patrol Boat Product Line in Norfolk, VA intends to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the annual inspection of the 73 (seventy-three) 110' and the 35 (thirty-five) 87'patrol boats life rafts in accordance with the most recent SOLAS standards and other requirements outlined in the Specification. The specification will be posted with the Solicitation. It is the Coast Guard's intention to make one or multiple awards for a Firm Fixed Price-Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract. Period of Performance for the contract(s) will consist of one (1) base year and four (4) option years. This procurement will be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible Small business concerns may submit an offer, which may be considered by the U.S. Coast Guard. The small business size standard for NAICS 336611 is less than 1,000 employees. The solicitation will be issued electronically as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web page at http://www.fbo.gov on or about November 18, 2011 with quotes due on or about December 19, 2011. Please sign up for the Auto Notification Service to receive an e-mail from FedBizOpps when an action is taken under this solicitation. The evaluation factors for this solicitation are Past Performance and Price. Past Performance is significantly more important that Price. The final award(s) will be made based upon the offer that represents the overall "Best Value" to the Government. The contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, materials, and all equipment necessary to perform life raft inspections. All inspection services will be performed at the contractor's facility. Life rafts will be shipped to and from various Coast Guard cutter locations in the continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, and Guam. Shipping will be F.O.B. Destination for all life rafts.
