Description
This is a sources sought notice only. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The Walla Walla Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 77 Wainwright, Walla Walla, WA 99362 is seeking potential sources to provide information regarding the installation of two ceiling mounted equipment support multiple arm boom assemblies. These devices are to be located into our new endoscopic rooms (two) that will be located on the second floor of a new outpatient building which is currently under construction. The desire is to provide support assemblies in each room. Each assembly must allow the following equipment, medical and computer, to be suspended from the ceiling. The following is a description of what will be desired for each room. Major assembly: This will be the main assembly. It will need to have at least two equipment support arms that will ultimately have the following items attached to each arm. Arm 1: Medical Oxygen (2) Medical Vacuum (2) Power outlets (12) Network connections ports (8) Sufficient space and/or mounting points (shelving or other mounting points) to support the following devices (required): 1.Olympus HD endoscopic system containing the following : a.CV-180 b.CLV-180 c.DeskJet color printer 2.Suction canister attachment points 3.Electrical surgical device with Argon Laser (will require an argon tank holding assembly) 4.Olympus ENDOWORKS computer interface with keyboard, mouse and flat screen 20" monitor 5.Medical grade UPS model such as Triplite Smartpro 1200XLHG 6.Olympus OPF water jet flushing pump Arm 2: Medical Oxygen (2) Medical Vacuum (2) Power outlets (12) Network connections ports (8) IV poles (2) Sufficient space and/or mounting points (shelving or other mounting points) to contain the following devices (Required): 1.Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor and medical grade UPS such as Triplite smart 700hg 2.Drawer for storage (locking) 3. Spacelab's monitor model 91370 4.Sharps container mounting space In addition a ceiling mounted examination style light (not a large surgical light) should mount to the center points of this assembly. The exam light should be dimmable. LED lighting is preferred but not required. Minor Boom Assembly: In addition to the main support assembly, a second minor smaller boom assembly(s) with two arms is also required. The arms are to be capable of mounting single and upgradeable to dual LCD 20" monitors and will provide the necessary power and cabling paths to support video monitor feeds from the equipment listed on the main boom assemblies and be adjustable in both rotation and vertical movements. In addition if an exam light cannot be mounted to the main support booms it can be mounted to this assembly. All booms must have sufficient cabling capabilities to allow for VGA style cables to be strung between the major boom assembly and the minor boom assembly. The VA is seeking potential sources to provide information/options for these support assemblies. The NAICS code for this procurement is not clearly defined but could fall under the following categories: 423490, 339113 or 339112. Standard size dollars will be appropriate to NAICS code selected. Responses to this notice should include the following: -Name and address of firm -Point of contact -Size of business -Pertinent information which demonstrates firms' ability to meet the above requirement (Include any samples of specifications or drawings of similar products/installations you have done in the past) All responses shall be submitted to the contracting office via email no later than November 18, 2011 at 4:00 PM, local time (MDT) to Amy.Kuczajda@va.gov. The POC at the Walla Walla VAMC has no authority to obligate the government. All correspondence (site visits, questions) must be submitted through the contracting office.
