Description
Description: The Project Manager for Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PM-MAS), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ and the Army Contracting Command -Rock Island (ACC-RI), IL are currently seeking sources for the manufacture and delivery of.300 WinMag Ammunition. The.300 WinMag is a 7.62mm bullet with higher than normal amount of propellant powder (magnum, defined) loaded in the cartridge. The.300 WinMag is used for precision sniper applications in both the XM2010 and MK13 Mod 5 version weapons to outrange the enemy with the maximum effective (supersonic) range in accordance with the detailed specification. Specifications: The.300 WinMag shall be purchased to a detailed specification. A copy of the detailed specification may be obtained by written notice to the point of contact listed below. Requests must include an approved DD2345 Form. An approved DD2345 form allows the Government to release Distribution Statement D drawings to a U.S. DoD contractor only. If an offeror does not have an approved DD2345, the form can be accessed through the following website: www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp. The form can be completed on-line and submission instructions for approval are included on the form. Planned Acquisition: Requirements are for the FY14-FY18 timeframe with quantities up to approximately 4M each per year for all services. The planned approach is a Full and Open competition resulting in a Requirements type contract. Submission Information: All responsible interested sources should submit their capabilities/qualification data. The respondent's capabilities information must demonstrate the ability to produce approximately 4M rounds annually of these cartridges. Submittal of information is requested via electronic mail only, no later than 30 days from the date of this notice. All responses should be submitted to Gregory L. Rice at ACC-RI, e-mail address gregory.l.rice10.civ@mail.mil. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government, as this notice is submitted for planning purposes only. Please include company name, address, telephone number, email address, technical point of contact, and company size (please specify as either a Large Business Foreign-Owned Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a) concern, Woman-Owned Small Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone concern, Veteran-Owned Small Business, or Service-Disabled Small Business). Brochures/literature may be attached to the e-mail submission. This is a Market Survey Notice only and it is not a pre-solicitation notice. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published.
